On Sunday June 7th 2015, Steve Brock ministered at my church, Bethel Christian Center, in Riverside, CA. He ministered in typical form with songs, and exhortations from the Lord. Toward the end of the service, he stated that he wanted to pray for everyone in the service. We formed lines across the front and waited. He prayed a simple prayer, and I returned to my seat.
But then he stopped and said that someone was having “back trouble,” or “pain” in their back. I immediately said that’s me and went back up. At this time I was wearing a back brace that provides support for me when my back becomes overly fatigued and painful, due to multiple myeloma cancer. He laid hands on me. The anointing was strong, “thick,” I would say. I fell back into the arms of two ushers (“catchers”). Steve asked me to do something I couldn’t do before. I responded that I don’t want to wear this brace and took it off. Steve said, “Don’t catch him, let him go.” He again prayed, laying hands on me, and I went down, a second time. This time, I felt extremely “intoxicated,” by the Spirit. I honestly felt engulfed by the Lord, as if I were carried. I could hardly speak I was so “drunk” in the Spirit. This has happened only one other time in my life although I have been in many healing services and have hands laid on me by many well-known evangelists that I won’t name here. Steve said this is a “creative miracle.” I believe this was said prophetically.
What Steve did not know is that all of my bones have been weakened by the cancer that causes the decay through attacking the bone marrow cells and that I have experienced numerous compression fractures in my spinal column. In 2008, I underwent a bone marrow transplant at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. I believe something supernatural and indeed “creative” happened that day.
I want to give God all the glory for His goodness to me through the ministry of Steve Brock. I know he doesn’t want the credit since this healing miracle comes by the Holy Spirit yet I praise God for Steve’s faithfulness to do what the Holy Spirit led him to do. Since that time, my energy level has increased significantly. I would say anywhere from 30 to 40 percent. I can stand longer and do basic household things with greater ease. I recently taught my Sunday school class, then attended church in the morning, and later facilitated a 3+ hour seminar that same afternoon, something I was unable to accomplish for the last nine years due to extreme fatigue and an inability to stand for long periods of time.
My daily confession is that my bones are long and strong, my blood is cleansed and pure and my heart is strong and electrified with the power of the Holy Spirit.
